Just my 2 cents worth... I think the image is well processed, but maybe a bit too magenta. But you may want to clone away the bright reflection of the sun in the water at the bottom right of the frame. Doesn't close off the image well. However, the composition seems quite underwhelming, but...

Those were long exposures in near midday sun right? I doubt its really due to pp but rather that you did not cover your viewfinder when doing the long exposures which I guess judging by the flare to be around 30s long? To avoid that you can cover your viewfinder COMPLETELY with a card or...

Yes it's like what catchlight said. Photoshop will decide on which layout to use if u choose auto. But the thing about photoshop is that even if you use the exact same frames and choose the same layout again, the result will be largely similar, but not exactly the same

It's definitely a blending issue. You probably did not blend the layers at all in photoshop. If I'm not wrong cs5 also has that function. What you need to do is 1) load the frames you are using for your pano into photoshop 2) if you have at least cs6 (not so sure about cs5) you can go to file >...
