Affordable Digital camera that can film greater than 30 minute clips . Can the GX9 do it?

i think you need to further define whats your budget range. 'Affordable' is too vague. Do you need HD or 4K recording? Many cameras can shoot longer than 30mins video these days, but battery endurance may not last that long. Or perhaps some will tend to overheat and shutdown well before 30mins...

    Format for TV

its best that you check the delivery specs from the station you're delivering to. Offhand for local stations, delivery specs should be 1080/50i XDCAM MPEG2 HD422 .MXF format. But for 30sec TV spot, they might just take PRORES 422 or XDCAM HD422 in .MOV format.

USB C as headphone out for microphone audio monitoring

the most accurate reference is still visually using your metering.

USB C as headphone out for microphone audio monitoring

in terms of quality, it is usually decent & accurate enough, but due to the USB-C output, depending on the type of Digital to Analog conversion (DAC) involved, there is usually some latency. ie. there'll be some form of delay in audio between what you see on screen, vs listening from the USB-C...

    AC from V-mount battery

if your device is 24v, i suggest you series up your Vmount (14.8 + 14.8) to 29.6v nominal, then you use a LM2596 DC to DC step-down regulator to drop & regulate to 24v. It's more efficient than a boost to 24v from 14.8v. :) Thats what i did for running my video gears with Bosch 18v tool...

    AC from V-mount battery

it's called a DC-AC inverter. They are pretty common and have been used ages ago for running TV & appliances in Cars, Buses, RV & Boats. Most are non-branded, but as a general guideline, you should be looking at buying 'Pure Sinewave' Inverters. There are cheap ones that uses 'Modified Sinewave'...

    AC from V-mount battery

i was using these DIY systems quite a while ago... i even have a dual system Vmount power pack.. However, most of the gears are DC powered these days, so it becomes very inefficient to invert to AC from DC, just to drive DC powered equipment again.... eg. if your laptop runs 18vdc, its a lot...

    Livestream demo with Pany CX10

Yeah, some of JVC's cam even have features for basic live graphics superimposition. eg. Scoreboard straps for live sports. And some CDNs are already offering online, web-based graphics superimposition features. I think in 2020, direct to stream and live to social media features will be the...

    Livestream demo with Pany CX10

Its interesting that video cams these days are starting to market streaming features straight out of the camera... back since 2013-14 era, some of JVC's pro video cameras can already do that, but I guess they were too ahead of their time, and their marketing for pro video cams doesnt seem to be...

Affordable 4 HDMI mixer from Blackmagic

the early days of my HDMI to USB3 encoder costed me close to US$170... and this basically renders the BMD Web Presenter obsolete i guess... unless you really need the single HDSDI input... :)

Affordable 4 HDMI mixer from Blackmagic

i was indeed surprised that there's no preview & multiview output when I first hear of the release... i guess it's more to target the consumer market and functions more like a seamless presentation switcher. However, with the built in scaler at the pricing point, it might just work very well as...

    Canon vs Sony ecosystem

i used to think I can work with Nikkors...but after trying for a few jobs, and having been so used to broadcast & cine zoom lenses, you'll find Nikkor zooms with opposite zoom turning direction a pain, and more problematic is the lack of par-focal capability. I guess I am just too old-school...
