I can attest to it. Yes, they are very friendly.... seems to me that they take much pride in their work ... Nikon service is good too.. except (another story .. suspect some of the product specialists are more marketing/sales specialist than technical specialist..)

May I ask a related qn regarding such situation: Sometimes back, I took some shots for a friend's friend..... What happened was that on my shots, the facial tone of the bride and bridegroom are quite different (when together in the same pic) - (i think got to be due to the reason Catchlight...

Mine too! I dun think you need any proof other that the camera! It is a global free repair!!!

Photography is not your livelihood. If cannot afford now, hold and save. Dun force a compromise. Then each time, you use, you will still dream of your WANT lens and feel tak shiok. Wherereas, if dun buy, you will still dream but it will be a shiok feeling. Tamron 24-70 is like Tenna/Camry...

If you need to ask, take the tamron! I owe it. And I am not trying to be funny. The VC comes in very handy, when you are tired, or in cold weather, as in winter.. as least for me. If about same price - then it will be be decision headache for me also - purely because of Nikon name...
