    Exposure for Portra 400 and Tri-x 400

this is a great thread. However the information is a little all over the place since it's conversational. Is there any where i can read up on such information? Good links to share? I've never seen nor heard about adjusting your iso in order to compensate for this or that while shooting film so...

    Film slowing down even more?

Everytime someone intents to pick up film, they get labelled a hipster. The people with knowledge (perhaps also film purists?) much prefer to tell the new kids "well then you've got lots to learn and if you don't have the patience, please stay away from using film and stick to Instagram...

Getting started with scanning your own negatives (Seeking Advice)

I feel more inclined towards the plustek right now due to size and as a dedicated 35mm scanner. The epson scanners however provide versatility but i'm not sure i'd be moving on to larger formats soon since i just got started with film. Perhaps when i do plan on making the swap i'll just sell the...

    Singapore in Black and White

Very Inspiring. I am very much a fan of architectural shots myself. I've been trying to emulate such shots with the 'streaky' looking clouds in the background but to no avail, any tips or tutorials you could recommend that i could get into?

    Canon G12

that's pretty true. since the add-ons aren't really much of a techno boost against the other (more on functionality, really) i'd say the g11 will be enough to meet your needs for a while. The bns section has a g11 running for about 550..compared to a brand spankin new g12 at 750 (approx), a save...

    Canon G12

yeah i've been eyeing for a handy dandy backup cam myself and the G series looks pretty viable. anws, i think the G12's dial add-on is a good addition. and the rotating lcd definitely is a plus point against it's rival. price is pretty constant against the others too.
