yeah i've been eyeing for a handy dandy backup cam myself and the G series looks pretty viable. anws, i think the G12's dial add-on is a good addition. and the rotating lcd definitely is a plus point against it's rival. price is pretty constant against the others too.

I'm using an unused gas-mask pouch that I received while in the army to fit in my camera. Used the paddings off my 6mill crumpler bag + some styrofoams. Pouch is readily made waterproof and looks pretty handy with velcros and buckles. Hahaha not too shabby in my opinion..only bad thing is maybe...
