I decided to embark on this journey 11+pm and needed to find a subject to shoot. Hence I picked this lamp my mum uses for worshipping

Typical idea shared by many photographers, it's still not too late to wish everyone a great 2011. (In my bed room, making use of anything I can find as 'decoration'.

03/01/11​

I attended a chalet but I have quite a few last minute work to clear. So I spent the free time doing 'clearance'. (Used my mobile phone, a pity I couldn't avoid the light bulb without being spotted by others that I am doing such a lame thing.)

04/01/11: Clarity​

Less than an hour before 5th jan arrives: I have decided to use whatever tools I have in my kitchen and give a try at last year's competition theme. Used a LED torch to shine which I think kinda failed :sweat:.

05/01/11: Rainy Day​

A rainy day in the evening. I can see the dark clouds slowly swallowing the blue sky as I looked what's outside my windows.

06/01/11: Pain​

Don't really have time to think of a photo shoot today as my beloved one fell ill and was admitted to hospital. I had to company her and took this using my mobile phone (not dslr so as not to disturb her sleeping).

Just hope my beloved one recovers soon...the bench seems empty without her.

07/01/11: Smoke​

Decided to give my first try to shoot smoke photos. Definitely worse than the good ones seen in Clubsnap. Didn't have much time to experiment because I was in hospital accompany my gf until 10pm then I reached home.

Didn't have a strobe to light up, can only rely on my small led torch. Have some noise since I upped ISO to 400 to achieve faster shutter speed.

Yay...I think my gf can be discharged tomorrow!

08/01/11: Colours of freedom​

Spent most of my day in the hospital again. The process of out-patient is really slow, took us at least 3 hrs to wait for the pharmacy to dispense the medicine. But at least my gf has been discharged at last, and before we left, her group of friends have delivered a nice "pot" of colourful flowers. A pleasant way to celebrate being FREED from the hospital ward. So I managed to capture these flowers using my mobile phone before we "chiong" out of the hospital.:sweatsm:

09/01/11:CHEESE!!​

10/01/11: Headache​

Found this pair of bottles of syrup in my kitchen. These are for my sis's wedding so I borrowed them for a simple shot before I sleep. If you ask me, marriage is about love but wedding is more than that. In today's society, wedding is also about money. Wedding dinner, gown, photo shoot etc, all need money.

10/01/11: SLASH​

Honestly speaking I was so busy at work today that I didn't have time to prepare and think of a photo to shoot. Out of anxiety, I just took the kitchen knife (not to stab myself :bsmilie and took this crappy shot. A failed picture but I shall find a chance to improve it next time.

This project is getting tough, I am running out of ideas especially when my work doesn't allow me to go out explore during weekdays.

11/01/11: Simply red: Size doesn't matter​

Today I have decided to give this theme a try. Just grabbed a red pen and two pieces of fake test papers. Zero is zero, no matter how big the number is written. :bsmilie:

13/01/11: Colours​

Decided to put the colour pencils into some use by taking photos of them. It's been ages since I last used colour pencils.

I just realised I can arrange the pencils nicer to give a nicer circle in the middle. But oh well I am real tired and want to sleep.:sticktong

I have just received my auto extension tube which I ordered through ebay. So I have decided to go for my first try on close up shots.

16/01/11: Eggs​

I fried an egg in the morning for breakfast and thought of using it to make a picture before it went down my tummy

Well, I just finished my carton of orange juice so thought of making another shot. Composition can be improved still since I took this in quite a rush before I went out (not an excuse for a poor shot though).

17/01/11: Fishing (again)​

I went down to Sembawang Park hoping to catch a sunset but the weather was super cloudy (dark) and the sun couldn't been seen at all. As I was slowly walking along the small seawall I came across these two scenes and quickly used my handphone camera to capture them. Haha... my gf was already walking far ahead so I didn't have the chance to unload my gear from my bulky bag.

18/01/11: Dusk @ Sembawang Shore​

These few days have been cloudy and rainy during evening period, and I failed to see a nice sunset. However I thought the sky isn't bad around 7pm and took a shot of it. Pano of 3 shots and still distortion present even at 50mm using my 18-200 kit.

I was sitting along a pavement @ West Coast Park and I saw this couple pak-tor-ing. Tried to use the lines of the grass to lead to them.

Haha...thanks...saw this box of colour pencil sold for $1 and bought it to take a photo of something we don't use often as we grow up.
