These are some photos taken with my severely outdated Panasonic LX3 pocket camera during the recent winter in Qatar. For five to six months starting from the month of November, weather in Qatar is usually nice, hovering between 15C to 25C. During this time, often we get to see a clear deep blue sky without a single speck of cloud.

Note: Please blame my itchy hands for the oversaturated colors made with Photoshops.

More to come...

The new museum of Islamic art, a building designed by I.M.Pei. It’s one of the modern landmarks of Qatar.

Wheelbarrows, commonly used at construction sites, but here in the traditional market of Souq Waqif, they are used to carry your shopping items. The service is offered by a bunch of old men. For a small amount of fee, they will follow you around to carry your shopping items.

The sky color looks very nice. Why the weather there is only <25 while other countries in Middle East is ard 40 degree.

Nice capture bro.Bring back memories.I was in Doha for 2 yrs plus.Nice chill weather in winter and Souq Waqif will buzz at nite in winter especially in Feb.But last year i experienced summer with temp at 48C in July and Aug.

The weather would drop under 25C only during winter and it's true that during the peak of summer, the temperature can sometime reach 50C.

Here are some more 2-3 year old photos of Souq Waqif that I managed to dig out. Some of them were taken with the ancient pocket Lumix LX1.
