Sony lens repair without warranty?

Bring down to the Sony Repair Centre at their showroom in 313 Somerset.
I have a Sony RX10 IV, the tripod mount has cracked, and since under warranty,
the repair is only $10.70
Be prepared that any thing after warranty could be expensive.
I sent my A7R2 there for repair. The motherboard was cranky.
They quoted me $900. Checked the resale value was around $900.
So decided to leave it there for them to use as spare parts.
If I collect, I have to pay $180 for the inspection service fees.
No, I am not angry or upset or anything. I have a company that repair machines and $180 hardly cover our costs to maintain a team of technicians.
Just sharing with everyone what to expect.
